We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations in a fast-paced industrial/manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring equipment, facilities, and maintenance systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently while leading a skilled maintenance team.
The ideal candidate is an extremely safety-conscious leader who is organized, proactive, and able to balance day-to-day maintenance needs with long-term reliability and capital improvement projects. This individual must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively in an environment where equipment uptime and safety are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and accountability for the maintenance team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to established standards.
- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and other applicable regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and reliability of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and supporting infrastructure.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance program designed to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Utilize the company’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, equipment history, parts, labor, and maintenance performance.
- Respond to equipment failures and production issues with an appropriate sense of urgency, while ensuring safety is never compromised for speed.
- Use strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Plan, prioritize, assign, and track maintenance activities to ensure effective use of personnel and resources.
- Manage maintenance inventory, including spare parts, critical components, supplies, purchasing, and appropriate inventory levels.
- Lead and coordinate capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, facility improvements, and reliability initiatives.
- Manage maintenance and capital projects from planning through completion, including scope, budget, timeline, contractors, installation, and startup.
- Coordinate outside contractors and vendors while ensuring compliance with company safety and operational requirements.
- Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and other departments to identify priorities and minimize production disruptions.
- Track maintenance costs, downtime, equipment performance, preventative maintenance completion, and other key performance indicators.
- Maintain accurate and organized maintenance records, equipment documentation, manuals, procedures, and project information.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance processes, productivity, and overall operational efficiency.
- Communicate maintenance priorities, equipment concerns, project status, and potential risks clearly and proactively to leadership and affected departments.

Qualifications
- Previous maintenance leadership experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment required.
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold a maintenance team accountable.
- Must be extremely safety conscious with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Experience working with a CMMS and managing preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively utilize maintenance and operational software.
- Experience with CapEx planning and project management, including equipment installations and facility improvement projects.
- Experience managing spare parts and maintenance inventory.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to respond effectively to critical equipment and production issues.
- Excellent critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, execute, and follow projects through to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with maintenance technicians, production employees, vendors, contractors, and senior leadership.
