Customer Service Specialist (Part-Time)

Christopher's Fine Foods is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team! If you enjoy helping people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in providing exceptional service, we'd love to meet you.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will help create a welcoming shopping experience while supporting the Customer Service Manager with the daily operations of the front end. This position is ideal for someone who is positive, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with both customers and fellow team members.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and provide prompt, friendly, and professional service.
• Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, checks, credit/debit cards, gift cards, EBT, WIC, coupons, lottery transactions, and money orders according to company procedures.
• Assist customers with questions, returns, exchanges, refunds, and price checks.
• Maintain accurate cash control and balance cash drawers.
• Assist with register overrides and other front-end procedures when needed.
• Help supervise front-end operations, including monitoring cashier performance and coordinating breaks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout and customer service area.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally or direct them to the appropriate manager.
• Monitor the store for safety hazards, suspicious activity, and security concerns.
• Sign delivery invoices and verify the quality and quantity of products received when assigned.
• Follow all company policies, food safety standards, and government regulations.
• Wear the Christopher's Fine Foods uniform and name badge while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
• Cross-train in other areas of the store and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with all team members to provide outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is required.
• Grocery store customer service experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
• Honest, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Comfortable handling cash and operating computerized register systems.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific job duties.

Schedule Requirements

Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including:

• Days
• Evenings
• Weekends
• Holidays

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequently bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Read IDs, invoices, checks, and other written documents.
