Job Summary

Christopher Lee Structures is seeking an Elevator Service Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and installation of residential and light commercial elevator systems. This position involves field service work, technical troubleshooting, and direct customer interaction. Technicians are expected to follow safety standards and deliver reliable service across a defined service area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and safety inspections on elevator equipment
• Identify and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Install and commission new elevator systems in residential and low-rise commercial settings
• Respond to service requests, including occasional emergency or after-hours calls
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate job documentation
• Ensure all work complies with applicable safety codes and regulations
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding system status and repairs
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and support continuous improvements
• Assist with training and guidance for less experienced technicians when needed
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, mechanical, or related technical field
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for service calls
• Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Willingness to obtain elevator certification (training provided)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working on elevator or vertical transportation systems
• Experience using diagnostic tools and service software
  
  

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Minimum 40 hours per week; on-call rotation may be required
• Work Environment: Field-based with travel to customer sites
  
  

Compensation

• $32.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience
• Overtime and on-call pay may apply
