You are:
A skilled video editor whose portfolio demonstrates an ability to heighten stories with clever edits. You are creative and willing to take risks, explore new styles, and change the tone and pace of videos depending on their intended use.
It is imperative that you welcome critique. You are willing to make as many rounds of edits necessary until the project is complete.
You are able to track multiple rolling assignments and complete them on a tight turnaround.
The Role:
This is a remote freelance opportunity with potential for a full-time position.
The video editor will complete several cooking videos per week: at least two 5-20 minute videos for YouTube and/or four 1-minute videos for Reels, on a one-week deadline. They will work closely with our director of digital content to explore different styles, pacing, and graphics that create an exciting presentation of the brand, following best practices for different digital media platforms.
This opportunity pays $50 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Edit a minimum of one YouTube video, or five Reels, per week
- Manage digital assets
- Coordinate with the necessary departments to collect all of assets necessary
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to edit tight, fast-paced video
- Basic motion graphics skills
- Familiarity with Premiere or comparable video editing software. Familiarity with After Effects and other Adobe programs are strongly preferred.
- Ability to pivot styles quickly
- Firm grasp of framing, texture, and lighting
Preferred:
- Experience shooting and editing cooking videos for YouTube, TikTok, and/or Reels
- Ability to commute to our Boston office once per week for shoots
