As a small, women-owned and led business, you’ll work directly alongside the founder and play a meaningful role in shaping brand presence across multiple clients. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real client work and grow within the pet industry.
About the Role
We are looking for a Social Media Video Editor & Content Creator to support content creation, publishing, and day-to-day social media execution across client accounts. Video editing is our top priority. If you can turn raw footage into scroll-stopping social-first reels, we want to hear from you.
This is a freelance role (~10 hours per week) with the opportunity to grow over time. The role is fully remote, though we strongly prefer candidates based in the Greater Boston area, as occasional in-person collaboration may be helpful.
Responsibilities
- Edit and produce short-form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Assist with content creation across Instagram and TikTok
- Source, edit, and organize photo and video content
- Create social media graphics and videos using Canva or Adobe tools
- Support development and execution of content calendars
- Schedule posts across social media platforms
- Support community management (monitoring comments, DMs, engagement)
- Identify trends and opportunities for content
- Assist with basic paid social campaign support (Meta, TikTok), including setup, monitoring, and reporting
- Support multiple ongoing projects
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in social media, marketing, or content creation
- Strong video editing skills — Reels and TikTok are your comfort zone
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
- Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar editing tools
- Basic understanding of paid social media campaigns (Meta/TikTok Ads Manager)
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proactive self-starter with a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
What Will Set You Apart
- A portfolio of Reels or TikToks you’ve edited and published
- Eye for design and experience creating graphics in Canva
- Experience managing brand social media accounts
- Ability to balance creativity with performance-driven thinking
- Strong understanding of content trends and storytelling
- Interest in the pet industry — dog lover a major plus!
Compensation
- $20/hour depending on experience
- ~10 hours per week
- Opportunity to grow into a larger role as client work expands
