What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Biller position at Christopher House?
Christopher House of Worcester, a 150 bed Non-Profit Skilled Nursing Facility, is seeking a full-time Medical Biller. This role is responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and payers and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and have a minimum of 2 years experience in nursing home medical billing, including experience with UB04 and CMS 1540 filings, as well as experience with Matrix.
This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.
Experience with the following tasks is essential to a candidate's success:
Verify insurance benefits on potential admissions
Review and verify accuracy of billing and coding
Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount
Enter/Edit demographic and insurance information for new admissions
Reconcile and report daily census
