Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role that requires excellent communication skills, strong organization, and the ability to multitask efficiently. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and overall a positive experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform opening and closing office duties, ensuring the facility is prepared for daily operations
- Greet patients warmly and check them in and out accurately and efficiently
- Verify patient information, update records, and maintain confidentiality
- Handle billing tasks, ensuring charges are processed appropriately and accurately
- Answer and manage multiple incoming phone calls, directing inquiries and scheduling appointments
- Facilitate office flow by coordinating patient movement and supporting clinical staff
- Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk and waiting areas
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or receptionist role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, especially with billing and patient information
- Proficiency with office systems and electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
