ChristianaCare Primary Care at Hockessin is located at 726 Yorklyn Road in Hockessin, Delaware. ChristianaCare Primary Care at Hockessin provides comprehensive primary medical care for adults and children, including vaccinations, physical examinations, and minor medical procedures.

Work Schedule:

• Monday from 7am to 5pm

• Tuesday & Thursday from 8am to 6pm *one last night shift required per week.

• Wednesday from 8am to 5pm

• Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm

Duties / Responsibilities:

As a Medical Assistant I you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED required.

• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
