ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Environmental Services Assistant I to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff at the Union Campus.

Status: Part-Time (24 hours/week)

Location: Union Campus
Shift: Day; 7:00AM-3:30PM
Schedule: Every other weekend & holiday rotation required

What You’ll Do:

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, and common areas following infection control protocols.
• Maintain carts and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Restock supplies such as paper products and soap throughout the facility.
• Safely remove trash, soiled linens, and used equipment from designated areas.
• Respond promptly to Environmental Services calls and texts using provided smart devices.
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to supervisors.
• Attend regular training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices.
• Uphold a courteous and helpful attitude throughout your shift.

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma preferred.
• Two years of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and confidentiality.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift.
• Comfort using smart devices for work assignments.

Working Conditions:

• Potential exposure to infectious diseases (with proper precautions).
• Safety glasses required at all times.

This position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour.

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
