- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely to support mobility and prevent injury
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Support clients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s or dementia through memory care techniques and engagement activities
- Observe client's habits or changes in behavior to help care teams to update needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification, and proper documentation of client care activities
Experience
- Prior experience working in an in-home environment or assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental or physical disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia-related conditions
- Experience providing long-term care or hospice support is advantageous
- Familiarity to adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for client transfers or mobility assistance
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with families, caregivers, and care teams effectively
