Overview:
The Transportation Specialist, the Americas, is responsible for supporting transportation strategy, operational performance, and capability development across North America. This role will serve as a key transportation subject matter expert, helping drive operational excellence, carrier performance, process optimization, and transportation-related transformation initiatives across retail, ecommerce, wholesale, and omnichannel logistics flows. The ideal candidate combines strong transportation operational knowledge with structured project management capability, analytical problem-solving, and a continuous improvement mindset. This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders, carriers, third-party logistics providers, and technology teams to support scalable transportation operations and evolving supply chain capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Operations & Network Support
- Support transportation operations across domestic and international supply chain flows, including inbound, outbound, retail replenishment, ecommerce, wholesale, and special distribution movements.
- Develop strong understanding of product flows, transportation dependencies, and operational service requirements across business channels.
- Monitor transportation performance, identify operational risks, and support resolution of service disruptions or carrier-related issues.
- Partner with internal teams and external providers to ensure transportation operations align with service expectations and business priorities.
Carrier Performance & Operational Governance
- Support carrier relationship management, operational performance monitoring, and service accountability across transportation providers.
- Track transportation KPIs, service trends, cost drivers, and operational exceptions.
- Assist in carrier performance reviews, issue escalation management, and corrective action follow-up.
- Support transportation governance processes, performance visibility, and continuous operational improvement.
Transportation Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, reduce operational complexity, and enhance service performance.
- Support process redesign, workflow simplification, and transportation capability improvements.
- Analyze transportation flows, constraints, and recurring issues to drive sustainable operational improvements.
- Help strengthen transportation operating discipline, visibility, and process consistency.
Project Management & Capability Deployment
- Support transportation-related projects including carrier onboarding, network enhancements, systems integrations, process redesign, and operational capability deployment.
- Coordinate project activities including timelines, issue tracking, testing support, stakeholder communication, and implementation follow-up.
- Partner with transportation leadership, technology teams, and operational stakeholders to support successful execution of transportation initiatives.
- Support rollout of new transportation capabilities, tools, and process improvements.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Business Support
- Partner closely with Logistics, Planning, Retail Operations, Ecommerce, Finance, Technology, and Customer Service teams.
- Translate operational transportation needs into actionable solutions and coordinated execution plans.
- Support business continuity planning, peak readiness, and transportation risk mitigation efforts.
- Serve as a transportation subject matter resource for operational decision-making and problem-solving.
Skills/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of experience in retail, ecommerce, fashion, or omnichannel transportation or carrier management
- Strong understanding of transportation operations, carrier service models, and supply chain movement flows.
- Experience supporting transportation optimization, operational improvement, or logistics project delivery.
- Transportation operational knowledge across parcel, LTL, FTL, international, and omnichannel logistics environments.
- Structured project management and organizational skills specifically supporting transportation systems (TMS, ERP, shipping platforms
- Proficient in all of Microsoft Office/Suite
- Passion for Christian Louboutin and a true ambassador for the brand with strong sense of responsibility
- Ideal candidate has work experience in medium sized multinational company or luxury business.
- Additional language fluency is a plus

In accordance with the New York City Commission on Human Rights and in compliance with the Salary Transparency Law, Christian Louboutin envisions the general compensation range for this position to be $60k - $75k per YEAR. *Please note that this range is NOT inclusive of any other forms of compensation or benefits such as commissions overtime, discretionary bonus, health insurance, retirement savings or paid leaves of absence. Such details will be further communicated during the interview process and/or at the time of an official offer of employment.
