High School English Teacher (Full-Time Position)
Christian Liberty Academy is a small preK–12 Christian school in an economically depressed area; our burden is to provide a quality education that incorporates an explicitly Christian worldview into every area of life, while remaining affordable to the families we serve. We are currently seeking a dedicated, full-time high school English teacher to join our faculty.
Responsibilities:
- Teach high school English classes—incorporating grammar, literary analysis, and writing; class sizes range from 10 to 20 students. (Due to our school's size, we have only one section of each class. Teacher would be asked to teach additional classes for a total of 5 classes)
- Develop creative and engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and a biblical worldview.
- Instruct students in reading comprehension, literary analysis, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages students' intellectual and spiritual growth.
- Work with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.

- Be a committed believer and active member of a local church.
- Have a Bachelor's Degree.
- Have a strong grasp of high school English, including literature and composition.
- Have the ability and desire to communicate effectively with and inspire a diverse group of students.
Base salary: In order to keep tuition affordable in our community, our salaries are significantly lower than in the public sector; our teachers are among those who have embraced the call to sacrificial service for the kingdom of God. Our starting salary (for bachelor's degree with no experience) is roughly $27,000; salary increases with experience and additional degrees/expertise. Full health insurance (including dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage) provided.
