Senior Pastor Responsibilities:
* Oversee the total ministry of the church
* Actively involved in congregational care and shepherding
* Preaching at services
* Oversee church staff
* Conduct and coordinate church ordinances
* Work with church staff to organize church services
* Report to Deacon Board
* Work with staff to organize special services (Christmas, Easter, funerals, weddings, etc.)
* Participation on/with church committees as needed
Senior Pastor Expectations:
* Preach and teach from the Word of God in a manner that is both theological and applicable
* Must be able to relate to both old and young alike
* Must appropriately represent EMC in the community
* Must provide counseling as needed
* Humble, servant-leader attitude
* Willing to invest in our church families and community
Candidate Qualifications:
* Must have previous pastoral experience
* MDiv or equivalent preferred although lesser ministry-related degree will be considered when coupled with appropriate pastoral experience.
* Strict adherence to Ebenezer Mennonite Church Statement of Faith.
