We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional individual to serve as the first point of contact for our school community. The School Secretary plays a vital role in supporting daily operations while reflecting the values and mission of our Christian school.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors in a warm, welcoming, and polite manner
Maintain professional phone etiquette at all times
Answer and direct phone calls and emails
Maintain up-to-date student records and office files (including excused notes)
Assist with attendance tracking and reporting
Support administrators and teachers with clerical tasks
Manage front desk operations and ensure school security procedures are followed
Coordinate communication between staff, parents, and leadership
Perform general office duties (copying, filing, data entry, etc.)
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally high-stress environment
Assist with school-wide communications including; texts, emails, and website updates
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; additional education preferred
Previous office or school experience is a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in basic computer programs (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Canva)
Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality
Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
Faith Requirement:
Must support and uphold the Christian values and mission of the school
A personal commitment to the Christian faith is preferred
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation:
Compensation and benefits (including health insurance) to be discussed
Highly Preferred:
Bilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) preferred
