Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with curriculum standards and school expectations
- Create a safe, organized, and positive classroom culture that supports student learning and growth
- Integrate Christian faith and values into daily instruction and interactions with students
- Assess student learning regularly and use data to guide instruction and interventions
- Communicate consistently and professionally with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administration, and support staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate student records, lesson plans, and grades
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and school ministry activities
- Support and uphold the mission and values of Calvary Lutheran School
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required
- Valid teaching certification preferred or ability to obtain certification
- Experience teaching upper elementary students preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to academic excellence and student-centered learning
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Desire to model Christian faith, character, and professionalism in daily interactions
