Overview
We are seeking a caring and confident middle school teacher to inspire and educate students in grades 6 through 8. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching, a strong foundation in both math and science or history disciplines, and a commitment to nurturing student growth in a Christian school. As a key member of our school family, you will design engaging lessons, facilitate hands-on activities, and support students’ academic, personal, and faith development.
Responsibilities
- Teaches required information within the grade level in the specified subject(s)
- Assures information is understood and clearly communicated to students.
- Identifies the need and makes arrangements for remedial instruction as required.
- Responsible for the academic climate of the classroom to include visual aids of related subjects or topics.
- Tracks dissemination of information within classrooms in our student information system to include grading and related notes.
- Prepares and confirms the final evaluation grade on report cards on a quarterly basis.
- Interacts with students on a regular basis.
- Provides various enrichment and enhancement programs to include the cultural and physical development of children.
- Monitors talents, special abilities, disabilities, deficiencies or problems of each individual child, documents issues/concerns as needed and notifies administration.
- Interacts with parents/guardians and administration as needed.
- Maintains a professional manner by setting a good example for children.
- Participates in all scheduled teacher meetings and trainings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in education from a four-year college or university.
