The Christian Education Coordinator (CEC) will provide leadership, coordination, and support for all children’s and youth ministry programs at PSPC. The goal of this position is to nurture spiritual growth, biblical understanding, and Christian community among children, youth, and their families.

Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrated experience teaching Bible study and leading children’s and youth Sunday School programs.
- Availability to work on Sunday mornings and weekday evenings for ministry activities, planning, and programming.
- A clear sense of calling from God to serve in children’s and youth Christian Education ministry.
- High school diploma or GED.
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates compassion, grace, and a heart for serving others.
- Strong communication skills; self‑motivated; collaborative; organized; and hopeful about the church’s mission and future.
- Prior experience working with children and youth in a church setting.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, vision, and spiritual direction for intergenerational worship, children’s and youth ministry, and volunteer engagement.
- Listen to the needs of children, youth, and families, and communicate these needs to the pastors and Session.
- Innovate and adapt programming to meet the needs of today’s children and youth.
- Research and recommend curriculum and mission projects for Christian Education Committee approval.
- Lead and facilitate youth ministry activities, seasonal programs, and special events.
- Oversee Sunday morning worship and educational opportunities for preschool through 12th grade.
- Supervise nursery care and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
- Recruit, train, equip, and support volunteers in accordance with the church’s Safe Church Policy.
- Attend committee, Session, and staff meetings as scheduled.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; purchase materials as needed.
- Manage program spending and maintain accurate expense records.
- Strengthen the youth ministry (grades 6–12) through programs meeting 2–4 times per month.
- Encourage and provide opportunities for children and youth to participate in worship leadership and mission activities.
- Develop new educational programs that nurture faith formation for all ages.
- Support efforts to expand community outreach.
