We are seeking a dependable and attentive Laundry Attendant to support laundry services within the Housekeeping Department for our assisted living residents. This role plays an essential part in maintaining resident comfort and dignity by ensuring clothing and linens are properly cared for and returned in a timely manner.
The Laundry Attendant works as part of the Housekeeping team, collaborating with staff and interacting respectfully with residents in a service‑oriented, supportive environment.

The Laundry Attendant works as part of the Housekeeping team, collaborating with staff and interacting respectfully with residents in a service‑oriented, supportive environment.
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver resident clothing and linens
- Verify resident identification and garment labeling
- Follow infection‑control, PPE, and cross‑contamination procedures
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment safely
- Handle soiled linens and biohazard materials appropriately
- Monitor laundry supplies and report shortages to the housekeeping team
- Communicate courteously with residents, housekeeping staff, and supervisors
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a full-time schedule
- Ability to acquire a fingerprint clearance card
- Previous experience in laundry services, housekeeping, healthcare, or senior living (preferred, not required)
- Knowledge of infection‑control and sanitation practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional and respectful communication style
