Job Overview
Christensen’s Plant and Hardscape Center is looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our Plymouth team as aYard Operations Associate.
This is a hands-on, outdoor position working in a busy, wholesale nursery and landscape supply operation. You'll help pull and stage orders, load customer and company trucks, receive incoming plant material, care for nursery inventory and keep the yard organized, safe and moving.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Full-time seasonal position with consistent hours during the busy season. Some Saturdays and overtime may be required during peak periods.
What You'll Do
- Pull and stage trees, shrubs, perennials and related materials for customer orders
- Load customer vehicles and company delivery trucks
- Unload incoming material
- Organize and maintain nursery inventory
- Water and care for plant material as assigned
- Help customers locate and load materials
- Operate carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, loaders and other yard equipment as assigned
- Keep sales, loading and work areas clean, organized and safe
- Assist with seasonal setup, cleanup and general yard operations as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Dependable, on time and ready to work
- Comfortable with physical outdoor work in changing weather
- Able to safely lift and move plant material and other products
- Good attitude and ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail when pulling, staging and loading orders
- Comfortable working around trucks and equipment
- Nursery, landscaping, agriculture, construction, warehouse or equipment experience a plus
- We will train the right person who is willing to learn
