About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role will play a critical part in managing cost accounting, general ledger integrity, and month-end close processes, while supporting financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
This position reports directly to the Controller and works closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and review month-end close entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedule
- Analyze COGS, labor, burden, and overhead allocations
- Support development and improvement of costing models and processes
- Manage credit and AR-related functions, including customer credit reviews and collections oversight
- Assist with financial reporting, including monthly financial statements and internal management reporting
- Partner cross-functionally with operations to improve data accuracy and cost visibility
- Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory accounting
- Experience with ERP systems (Infor VISUAL or similar a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
