Status: Full-Time
Location: On-site — Gunnison, UT
Position Summary
Barrel Layup Technicians are responsible for applying carbon fiber to Christensen Arms carbon barrels using a proprietary layup process. This role requires careful handling of materials, adherence to proper layup techniques, and planning for curing cycles using predetermined curing schedules. Training is provided, but the position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
Basic Skills & Knowledge

Ability to learn and apply proper carbon fiber layup techniques.

Ability to operate both manual and CNC lathes.

Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Flexibility in scheduling to meet production goals.

Self-motivated, with the ability to take tasks from start to finish independently.

Effective time management skills to consistently produce 30–40 barrels per day, as required.

Adequate hand–eye coordination to safely and efficiently operate lathes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities

Organize and prepare barrels for the carbon fiber layup process.

Operate manual and CNC lathes to support the layup and finishing processes.

Learn and work with various carbon fiber materials.

Understand and differentiate between multiple barrel types.

Learn and utilize oven controls for proper curing cycles.

Maintain accurate inventory levels for all materials used in the process.
