The First Impressions Associate is key in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for guests attending worship services and events at Christ’s Church. This role focuses on the spiritual and practical development of volunteer teams responsible for the full "site-to-seat" guest experience. As a connector between ministries, this role ensures seamless hospitality support across all areas of the church.
Qualifications:RELATIONSHIPS
Be a Disciple Maker: Foster a disciple-making culture by personally modeling disciple-making values and behaviors.
Align with Strategic Direction: Execute the primary direction and priorities as provided by the Experience Pastor and Hospitality Associate Director. Collaborate with all ministry areas to produce a greater overall impact.
Cultivate Welcoming Environments: Lead and develop volunteer teams to provide exceptional guest services from the parking lot to the worship center, creating a seamless and inviting experience.
Collaborate with Pastors and Ministry Leaders: Serve as the main point of contact for all ministry teams, coordinating hospitality needs and supporting their events with excellence.
Empower Servant Leadership: Mentor and equip volunteers to reflect Christ’s love through authentic hospitality, fostering a community rooted in service and discipleship.
Recruit and Disciple Leaders: Partner with Volunteer Development to onboard, support, and advance new volunteers. Provide training for ministry leaders necessary to grow volunteer engagement.
Manage relationships: Establish and maintain all necessary vendor and business partner relationships.
PRIORITIES
Build and Disciple Teams: Recruit, train, and disciple volunteers to serve effectively in all Guest Services areas, encouraging spiritual growth through service.
Intentional Connection: Create and maintain consistent weekly communication with team leaders. Encourage and equip through regular meetings and relational connections.
Ensure Excellence in Guest Services: Maintain high standards of hospitality that reflect the Church’s values and create lasting impressions for every attendee.
Support Ministry Events: Coordinate with pastors and staff to provide the necessary hospitality infrastructure for events, ensuring smooth and welcoming experiences.
Support Volunteer Progression: Plan for the progression of hospitality volunteers to resource volunteer roles in other areas of ministry as their discipleship journey matures.
Proactively engage in All-Staff activities: Participate in required staff gatherings and provide team support when needed.
PROCESS & SYSTEMS:
Streamline Volunteer Scheduling: Execute processes in Rock for scheduling, communication, and volunteer tracking to ensure seamless operations.
Evaluate and Improve Experiences: Regularly assess hospitality practices to identify opportunities for improvement and increased impact.
Observe Guidelines: Follow all established volunteer assimilation best practices and guidelines.
Administration: Utilize Paycom, Rock, and the Office 365 suite of products, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.
Provide Metrics and Reporting: Complete all required dashboard reporting in a timely fashion
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Practice a strict policy of confidentiality when dealing with church member information.
Office environment with occasional remote support and off-site meetings with volunteers.
May require physical activity such as lifting and transporting items up to 25 lbs.
Occasional off-hours or weekend work may be required to support projects and events.
Occasional travel to other locations or event venues may be required.
