What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian / Janitorial position at Chris-Craft?
Chris-Craft is looking for an experience custodian that will be responsible for cleaning of our buildings. You will also do some light maintenance work when needed.
Summary:
The Custodian maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe. The Custodian will also do light maintenance work when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.
- Cleans, mops and vacuums floors.
- Empties trash in required areas.
- Maintains outside walk areas, including sweeping debris.
- Cleans fixtures.
- Removes recycling materials.
- Cleans windows.
- Dusts furniture.
- Light maintenance (changing bulbs, etc.)
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Assist in other areas when asked with a positive attitude
- Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial role preferred.
- Time management skills.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Have a positive, friendly attitude.
- Ability to understand, read and write in English
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Good attendance is a must
