RN Supervisor (Direct Care)

Seeking a Full Time or Part Time Registered Nurse for Night Shift. 

8 hr shifts or 12 hr shifts available

*Assess the number and level of personnel needed to provide quality resident care and adjusts staffing  appropriately, keeping accurate documentation of call-offs;

     *Assess the delivery of nursing care and identify problems and any need for improvements;

     *Assess the health status of residents, notify the physician of changes, and assist personnel as needed;

     *Plan ways to solve problems and to make improvements in the delivery of resident care in       

       collaboration with the DON

     *Ensure that all residents have a plan of care

*Direct, supervise and participate in implementing planned changes and activities to improve nursing service in collaboration with the DON

     *Hold self and staff accountable for the delivery of quality nursing care;

     *Promote harmonious relationships and favorable attitudes among the health care team;

     *Direct and assist with orientation of new employees;

     *Keep the DON informed of reportable situations and nursing unit needs;

     *Make compliance rounds to all units on a regular basis throughout the shift;

     *Know and follow State and Federal regulations, along with Centre Care Policy and Procedures;

*Continuously evaluate resident care by reviewing care plans, assessing residents, reviewing medical records to  be in compliance with State and Federal regulations.  Report problems to DON and recommend changes;

     *Evaluate the performance of nursing service personnel;

     *Follow through with disciplinary action as needed;

     *Perform duties in accordance with Centre Care Policy and Procedure.

     * Administer medication correctly following Centre Care Policy and Procedure.  Complete correct charting of same – as needed or asked by Scheduler, DON or Designee.

     *Have ability to manage stress tolerance, pressure and anxiety

     * May be required to pass medications on a nursing unit

     * Other duties and functions as assigned by DON or designee.
