LaFayette Manor, Inc., a 98-bed skilled nursing center, is looking to hire an Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADON). LaFayette Manor offers rehabilitative services, skilled nursing care and long-term care services to our community.
About the Role:
The Assistant Director of Nursing Services (Assistant DON) - Registered Nurse (RN) at LaFayette Manor Inc. plays a critical role in supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care to residents. This position ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and standards while fostering a compassionate and safe environment for both residents and staff. The Assistant DNS-RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient outcomes, and improve overall service quality. This role requires strong leadership to assist in managing nursing staff, coordinating training, and addressing clinical challenges promptly. Ultimately, the Assistant DNS-RN contributes significantly to maintaining the facility’s reputation for excellence in long-term care and enhancing residents' quality of life.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatric settings.
- Basic knowledge of nursing management and healthcare regulations applicable to nursing homes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing operations and staff supervision.
- Coordinate and participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Provide clinical support and guidance to nursing staff, including training and performance evaluations.
- Monitor resident health status, respond to changes, and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize care.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing activities and resident records.
- Support emergency preparedness and infection control protocols within the nursing department.
