Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated USDA HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) Consultant to lead food safety and quality assurance initiatives within manufacturing environments. Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English (bilingual preferred).
- Experience working with USDA, HACCP, and food manufacturing regulations.
- Experience in meat processing or USDA-inspected facilities is preferred.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HACCP plans aligned with USDA and FDA regulations to identify potential hazards and establish control measures.
- Conduct thorough quality audits and inspections to verify adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO 9001 standards, and other relevant quality standards.
- Lead risk assessments and analysis using tools such as Six Sigma methodologies, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and Lean management principles to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Perform detailed quality control checks, inspections, and validation activities to ensure products meet strict safety and quality requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance standards related to food safety laws, including FDA regulations, ensuring all production processes are legally compliant.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on HACCP principles, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory updates to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, non-conformance issues, and corrective action plans to support ongoing compliance efforts.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of HACCP systems, GMP, CGMP, ISO 9001 standards, and FDA regulations governing food production.
- Proven experience in conducting quality audits and implementing quality management systems within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of regulatory/legal compliance standards specific to the food industry across various jurisdictions.
- Skilled in applying analysis tools such as Six Sigma, GD&T, Lean management techniques for process optimization.
- Expertise in quality inspection methods, QA/QC procedures, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex compliance initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for root cause analysis and problem-solving in manufacturing environments.
