The Sales Manager – Composites is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and managing strategic account plans, forecasts, market analyses, pricing strategies, and sales agreements. Will target and capture new customers in existing and new markets while maintaining the current sales base. Technical responsibilities include understanding the customer’s processes and product requirements to assist with problem solving and to suggest reinforcement solutions to enhance performance and/or value to the customer. The Sales Manager -Composites also works closely with the distributor’s sales force to bring value to end users. Support includes providing technical assistance in the use of Chomarat products.

JOB DUTIES
Support Composites business by:
- Growing sales revenue and profitability consistent with or exceeding CNA’s Roadmap and Budget projections.
- Develop, execute, and maintain strategic account plans to protect and increase sales revenues:
- Maintain basic account profile information to include contacts, products, customer database, and current sales agreements.
- Define total available market and share vs. competition.
- Identify and develop direct sales for Chomarat Composites reinforcements products.
- Fully manage commercial aspects of our Glass Composites business (Rovicore).
- Assist the Sales Manager – Advanced Composites to develop sales in Carbon reinforcements.
- Work with distribution partners to support and grow sales.
- Define attainment strategies by setting goals for each current and new potential account/customer.
- Maintain positive business relationships with accounts and develop new opportunities.
- Travel to call on customers and prospective customers and attend trade shows. Prepare expense reports.
- Prepare call reports after customer visits and important calls to communicate opportunities, key issues, and action items.
- Develop, maintain, and update sales forecasts and update this information quarterly or as significant changes in the market occur.
- Analyze composites industry activities to determine potential markets for existing, new, emerging, or transferred product offerings.
- Provide critical information and analysis to the organization for determining market strategies across the business unit.
- Gather and analyze intelligence on competitors, their competencies, business strategies and potential threats, as well as their strengths and weaknesses.
- Serve as technical support for manufacturing process initiatives and customer process support.
- Provide guidance on material selection for customers.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems with value added solutions.
- Provide product and customer requirements for new markets and applications to Research and Technology to support their activity.
- Quote prices with comprehensive business terms and prepare sales agreements.
- Facilitate exchange of information with senior management to develop accurate business models; present findings and make recommendations to management.
- Negotiate selling agreements with strategic customers to ensure a consistent and profitable sales base.
- Actively assist and support operational planning within Chomarat.
- Serve as the primary “voice and champion” for current and prospective customers, identifying and representing their needs.
- Exhibit and encourage behavior that fosters teamwork throughout the organization
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Good working knowledge of Composites and balanced experience with carbon reinforcements.
- Technical ability to understand and assist customers with composites manufacturing processes and design concepts.
- Ability to analyze composite applications.
- Strong prospecting and relationship building skills with proven success for developing solid and long-term relationships.
- Ability to work within a global organization with communications spanning multiple nationalities.
- Ability to confidently present products, concepts and presentations to individuals or groups.
- Advanced MS Office application skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of French; both oral and written communications, desirable but not essential.
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Prefer a degree in Engineering or Business Management.
- Prefer 5 years of sales experience in a Composites manufacturing business with knowledge and experience within the Composites supply chain.
