Full-service environmental contractor that specializes in large-scale industrial construction, demolition, remediation, abatement, energy, emergency response, trucking, stormwater, and drone services.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing accounting team. This role is responsible for managing full-cycle accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting month-end close activities.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline-driven, and experienced in high-volume invoice processing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Setups, process and code high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently
- Perform 2-way and 3-way matching (purchase order, invoice, receiving documents)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
- Maintain accurate AP records and documentation
- Assist with month-end close and AP aging reports
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Qualifications
Required:
- 5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Pay to be determined based on experience.
Preferred:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Knowledge of GAAP principles
