Master Social Worker PRN

The Master Social Worker PRN utilizes strong interpersonal and communication skills daily to build trust and rapport with patients and families from diverse backgrounds. Critical thinking and assessment skills are essential for accurately identifying psychosocial needs and developing effective care plans. Time management and organizational skills enable the social worker to respond efficiently to varying caseloads and prioritize urgent interventions. Collaboration skills are vital when working alongside healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. Additionally, proficiency in documentation and familiarity with healthcare regulations ensure that all social work activities meet professional and legal standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the United States.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical social work, preferably in healthcare or community settings.
• Strong knowledge of psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and care planning.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a PRN (as-needed) capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in hospital, outpatient, or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems.
• Training or certification in trauma-informed care or mental health counseling.
• Bilingual skills or experience working with diverse cultural populations.
• Experience collaborating within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify patient and family needs, strengths, and challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers and community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support to patients and families facing emotional, social, or financial difficulties.
• Advocate for patient rights and facilitate access to community resources, benefits, and services.
• Document all social work activities accurately and maintain confidentiality in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and contribute social work expertise.
• Stay informed about current social work practices, healthcare policies, and relevant community resources.
