Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will help operate and evolve the infrastructure that powers large-scale consumer disbursements. You'll work on systems responsible for:
- Operating highly reliable payment infrastructure
- Scaling systems that process large volumes of financial transaction
- Ensuring high availability and resilience across microservices
- Improving observability across distributed systems
- Automating operational workflows and reducing toil
- Building infrastructure that meets strict security and compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure supporting our payments platform
- CI/CD pipeline and deployment automation
- Maintain and improve disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets to balance reliability with velocity
- Develop and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability across services (metrics, logs, traces)
- Design systems and processes that ensure transaction integrity and idempotency
- Ensure operational practices support audit and compliance requirements
- Perform capacity planning and scaling to ensure systems grow to meet demand
- Participate in on-call rotations to respond to production incidents
- Collaborate with development teams to improve service architecture, reliability, and operability
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field, OR 3 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering
- Strong proficiency in a least one programming language (e.g., Python, TypeScript)
- Proficiency in software application development
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools
- Experience with observability tools
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, load balancing, TLS)
- Experience with CI/CD systems (CircleCi or similar)
- Competitive annual compensation range of $130,000 to $150,000
