What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at Chocolate Maven Bakery & Cafe?
The Chocolate Maven has an opening for an experienced baker to join our award winning team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking, food and flavors, and presentation, have a "can do" attitude, and previous experience working in a commercial bakery.
Experience with mixing and forming yeasted bread, sourdough and levain is a major plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare a variety of baked goods
- Mix doughs and batters
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Follow recipes and production schedules accurately
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Work as a positive member of a team of artisan bakers.
- Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or catering environment
- Knowledge of bakery techniques and food preparation
- Familiarity with commercial baking equipment and tools
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
