Duties
- Perform early morning or overnight bake off, preparing pastries, cookies, etc, loading display cases for daily sales.
- Assist with baking a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and standards.
- maintaining food safety and quality standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and other baking tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures throughout your shift.
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including measuring ingredients, assembling pastry fillings, and portioning dough.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, baking, pastry preparation or a related culinary field is highly preferred.
- familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are essential for efficiency and safety.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to food handling regulations is required.
- Experience with cake decorating, pastry arts, or high-volume baking environments is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels.
- Excellent attention to detail in recipe adherence and food presentation standards.
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds if needed.
