About the Company

CHM Industries, Inc. is a vertically integrated manufacturer of steel monopole and advanced lighting products. CHM, a leader in lighting and steel structures since 1996, offers our clients quality products designed, manufactured, and supported within the United States at our Dallas-Fort Worth facilities.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead daily quality assurance, quality control, and compliance operations at our CHM Lighting manufacturing facility in Saginaw, TX. In this role, you will lead plant quality operations, supervise quality staff, and enforce total adherence to ISO 9001 standards, code requirements, and customer technical specifications across our structural lighting and commercial manufacturing lines. Working laterally with the Production Manager, you will drive a culture of continuous improvement, manage non-conformance workflows (CAR/NCR), oversee warranty and field service execution, and ensure projects meet exact quality standards from kickoff through final delivery

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain, continually improve, and lead the plant's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements, including internal audits, non-conformance logging (CAR/NCR), and corrective/preventive action workflows.

· Directly manage, schedule, and mentor daily plant quality personnel, including the QC Clerk, Document Control Clerk, and Shipping & Receiving Clerk(s).

· Lead end-to-end quality project management to ensure code compliance, customer specifications, and technical standards are fully satisfied from project initiation through completion.

· Oversee all quality and shipping documentation workflows, including NetSuite item receipts, weight and dimension verifications, shipping photo logs, and formal document control.

· Oversee warranty claim investigations and execute hands-on field service work as needed to resolve customer issues, analyze root causes, and restore product compliance.

· Partner daily with production, engineering, and shipping teams to drive cross-functional alignment, resolve quality bottlenecks, and maintain high first-pass yield across manufacturing operations.

· Function as site Safety Captain to enforce plant safety protocols, and serve as primary Key Holder for on-call facility access and emergency response.

· Act as a primary quality interface for customer technical inquiries and coordinate customer quality audits.

Required Skills and Attributes

· Proven leadership, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to drive accountability across cross-functional manufacturing teams.

· Strong technical acumen and hands-on problem-solving skills to conduct root-cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions (CAR/NCR).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the responsiveness needed to interact directly with customers and senior management.

· A high commitment to product quality, process control, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

· Proficiency in ERP software (NetSuite preferred) and standard quality logging tools.

· Ability to handle on-call facility responsibilities and execute key-holder duties reliably.

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of progressive quality control or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment (steel fabrication, lighting, structural components, or heavy manufacturing preferred).

· 2 years of direct supervisory or team leadership experience managing quality and clerical staff.

· Comprehensive working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, CAR/NCR workflows, and formal document control processes.

Physical Requirements

This position requires active floor presence and may involve standing, walking, lifting 50 lbs, bending, stooping, working around plant equipment, and performing field service site visits. Candidates must be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
