Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Material Handler & Local Driver to join our team. This entry-level position offers variety every day—combining shop floor material movement, shipping preparation, facility upkeep, and local light deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Local Transport: Operate a company truck with a small trailer for local drop-offs and pickups. Secure loads safely.
- Material Movement: Move steel stock, parts, and hardware around the shop using forklifts and pallet jack.
- Shipping & Receiving: Assist with staging, banding, tagging, and packing outgoing shipments. Unload incoming trucks and verify packing slips.
- Shop & Yard Upkeep: Maintain clean, safe work areas and storage yards, including scrap bin management, sweeping, and basic shop maintenance.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
- Experience or comfort towing and maneuvering a small trailer is preferred.
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Willingness to complete onsite forklift and overhead crane training/certification.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and work on your feet in non-climate-controlled shop and outdoor yard environments.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturdays as required by workload
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
