Flooring Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Flooring Sales Associate to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the key driver of high-end flooring sales, providing expert guidance to clients on a wide range of flooring products, including hardwood, tile, carpet, and luxury vinyl. You will leverage your knowledge of layout design, lighting, and remodeling to assist clients in making informed decisions. Duties

• Engage with customers through inside and outside sales efforts to understand their needs and recommend suitable flooring options.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide detailed explanations of flooring materials, installation processes, maintenance requirements, and lighting design considerations.
• Upsell premium products and complementary services such as lighting or custom layout design to maximize sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with contractors, interior designers, and renovation teams to coordinate project timelines and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking products efficiently, and ensuring the retail space is inviting and well-presented.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, offering product demos, and supporting clients throughout their renovation journey.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail sales, especially in high-end or specialty products such as flooring or interior design materials.
• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele.
• Knowledge of outside sales techniques combined with inside sales expertise to build lasting customer relationships.
• Experience with negotiation, upselling, merchandising, and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth.
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
• Ability to handle POS systems, cash handling procedures, stock management, and product demos confidently.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in remodeling or renovation contexts.
• Background knowledge of construction or renovation processes enhances your ability to advise clients effectively.
