Chipton-Ross is seeking a Laser Assembly Technician for a contract opportunity in Hilton Head, SC.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):Must be a United States Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR.Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 0 to 2 years of prior relevant experience.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops techniques and procedures for building lasers.Assembles and tests optical, mechanical, and electrical subassemblies.Completes optical bonding, cleaning, and inspection of laser units with high attention to detail.Builds wiring harness, solders and performs PCB assembly of electrical and electrooptical subassemblies.Identifies problems and issues, resolves most issues, and makes recommendations for improvements in yield.Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.Perform job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.Follows established processes to complete tasks.All other assignments as required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:3 years contributing in a manufacturing environment is a plus.REQUIRED EDUCATION:Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 0 to 2 years of prior relevant experience.WORK HOURS:Full-Time-9/80-1st Shift.Must be able to work weekends and evenings as required to meet company objectives.ADDITIONAL:Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check.
