Chinchor Electric, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced tax professional, ideally with a background comparable to a senior manager or partner at a small-to-mid-sized CPA firm, with 10 years of experience in both corporate and high-net-worth individual tax.


Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and support tax strategy, planning, and compliance initiatives across the organization, working closely with Finance and executive leadership. This role is responsible for managing all corporate tax-related functions while contributing to financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting efforts. The position will serve as a key resource in driving tax efficiency, optimizing entity structures, and enhancing overall financial performance, including but not limited to:

  • Lead the development and execution of corporate tax strategies to minimize tax liability and improve cash flow across all entities
  • Support and advise on entity structuring and restructuring initiatives, ensuring tax-efficient alignment with business operations
  • Provide personal and high-net-worth tax strategy support to ownership, including analysis of distributions and income planning
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state tax filings (C-Corporations and related entities)
  • Research and identify tax incentives and credits, including managing the filing process and tracking items such as R&D credits
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, including managing audits, notices, and inquiries
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and proactively assess the impact on the organization and ownership
  • Partner with Finance on financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, ensuring proper tax treatment and alignment
  • Improve and streamline tax-related processes, including integration with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and leadership to support business initiatives and strategic decisions
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to enhance accuracy, scalability, and overall financial performance
  • Lead or support special projects, implementations, and other initiatives as needed


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex tax matters to executive leadership and non-financial stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of corporate and individual (high-net-worth) tax, with a focus on planning and strategy
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Experience within construction, contracting, or multi-entity environments strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and improve processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to lead initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects through to completion
  • High level of ownership, attention to detail, and accountability in a fast-paced environment


Compensation & Benefits

This position offers a competitive compensation package designed to attract experienced tax professionals with both strategic and hands-on expertise.

  • Base Salary: $125,000 – $165,000, depending on experience & qualifications
  • Performance Bonus: Target bonus opportunity of 10%–20%, based on individual and company performance
  • Total Compensation Opportunity: $140,000 – $190,000

Physical Demands

This role is primarily sedentary and performed in an office environment. It requires prolonged sitting or standing, frequent computer use, and the ability to communicate effectively in meetings and presentations. Occasional movement within the workspace and lifting of light materials (up to 10–15 pounds) may be required. The position also requires strong focus, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
