LVN INSTRUCTOR

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated CNA Instructor / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our educational team. This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering comprehensive training in patient care, nursing fundamentals, and clinical skills. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for teaching, extensive clinical experience, and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment. You will assist the Simulation Center Director in supervising students in classroom and clinical settings, and ensuring compliance with educational standards and healthcare regulations. This paid position is vital in preparing students for successful careers in nursing and allied health fields, emphasizing hands-on learning and real-world application.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction on nursing fundamentals, medical terminology, patient care procedures, and clinical skills using various learning technologies.
• Assist in supervising students during classroom activities and clinical rotations in facilities or community healthcare settings to ensure safe and effective skill development.
• Assess student performance through documentation review, skill demonstrations, and written examinations; provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Assist in guiding students during clinical rotations on skills, compliance and with safety protocols.
• Help collect accurate records of student progress, attendance, and clinical evaluations while ensuring adherence to documentation standards.
• Incorporate research findings and learning technology tools to enhance instructional methods and promote adult education principles.

Qualifications

• 2 Years of experience working as an LVN 1 of which must be in a long term care setting
• Preferred experience in teaching skills competencies and familiar in using simulation platform 

Physical Demands

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Ability to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Able to constantly position yourself to maintain files in file cabinets such as reaching with hands and arms, kneeling, crouching, etc.
• The ability to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange information is crucial for this role.
