Description Summary:
The Business Analyst Intern will report to the Deputy Director, Finance. The ideal candidate will assist with the business or financial analysis of corporate budget monitoring and control. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of internal and external reporting. This position is located at the headquarters office in Herndon, VA.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly business analysis, finance analysis, and thematic analysis.
- Assist with the preparation for internal and external reports for management.
- Dynamic monitoring of key performance indicators.
- Assist in performing business unit reviews and providing the data for commission calculation.
- Assist with the management of the annual revenue budget.
- Effectively communicating insights and plans to headquarter, cross-functional team members, and management.
- Proactively search for ways to improve monitoring, discovering issues, and improving business practices and efficiencies.
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor and management.
- Envision CTA as the leading provider of innovative communications solutions that help people and businesses thrive in a more connected world.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Education Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Economics, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving proficiency.
- Ability to gather critical information, review, and analyze data requirements.
- Ability to listen actively by summarizing, asking clarifying questions, and interpreting.
- Experience conduct analysis and giving presentations.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with verbal, written, face-to-face and over the phone interactions with partners and all levels of staff and management in both English and Mandarin required.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Exposure with common accounting software.
- Flexibility to work seamlessly with global sales team in different time zones.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with CTA teams and peers during every interaction and maintain rapport with people of diverse backgrounds and professional levels.
