What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern position at Tech-Marine Business Inc?
TMB is pleased to offer six (6) full-time paid internship positions over a seven-week time frame. The internship is sponsored by the Team Ships Front Office (TSFO) contract at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Positions will require visits to our Washington, DC office but will be located primarily at US Navy Shipyards in San Diego, CA, Pascagoula, MS and Bath, ME.
Responsibilities
- Interns will report to a designated TMB employee and Government POCs and will be involved in operational and administrative functions supporting day-to-day activities in designated Shipyards.
Qualifications
- Must be training for the United States Coast Guard License and participating in “Sea Year” training to obtain sea days to be eligible to sit for the License Exams.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Requires U.S. Citizenship.
