Chillicothe Comfort Heating & Air LLC is a locally owned HVAC contracting company serving residential and commercial customers throughout the Chillicothe, Ohio area. We are committed to improving the comfort and health of every home and business we serve. As we expand our Indoor Air Quality division, we're looking for a skilled and motivated IAQ Specialist to lead our duct cleaning and air quality services.
Position Overview
The Indoor Air Quality Specialist will serve as the lead technician for all duct cleaning, ventilation cleaning, and air quality improvement services. This role is both a hands-on field position and a leadership role — you'll be performing work on job sites while also setting the standard for quality, professionalism, and customer experience on every call.
Key Responsibilities
Perform residential and commercial duct cleaning, air handler cleaning, and ventilation system inspections
Operate and maintain negative air machines, high-powered vacuums, agitation equipment, and camera inspection tools
Assess ductwork conditions and identify issues such as leaks, contamination, mold presence, or damaged insulation
Educate customers on IAQ findings and recommend appropriate solutions (UV systems, air purifiers, filtration upgrades, sanitizing treatments)
Complete accurate job documentation including before/after photos, inspection reports, and service records
Maintain equipment in clean, safe, and working order
Represent Chillicothe Comfort professionally in every customer interaction
Assist in training and mentoring any future IAQ team members as the division grows
Coordinate with the office on scheduling, job preparation, and material needs
Qualifications
Familiarity with NADCA standards and best practices preferred
Experience with negative air equipment, rotary brush systems, and duct inspection cameras a plus
Strong customer service and communication skills — this role is customer-facing daily
Detail-oriented with a commitment to cleanliness and quality workmanship
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to work in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and varying site conditions
EPA 608 certification a plus but not required
