Join Child Serve as a Direct Support Professional , in this role you will be responsible for supporting children and young adults with daily living and encouraging their independence. Direct Support Professionals work with supervisors , therapists, nursing staff, and families in program development and implementation. Examples include assisting the children and young adults with becoming as independent as possible in personal care s , preparing meals, caring for household, community exposure/involvement, and other life skills areas.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support children or young adults in developing independence in personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and other life skills
- Provide transportation assistance as needed
- Administer treatments and medications as appropriate, with knowledge of schedules and dosages
- Facilitate community involvement through recreational events, shopping trips, volunteer opportunities, and other activitie s
- Previous work with children or adults with disabilities preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
- Must be willing/able to become an approved driver for ChildServe
- Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Medication Manager, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certifications helpful
- Ability to lift up- to 35 lbs . be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand
