Hours : Monday- Friday, 8:00AM- 5PM with 1-hour lunch
Saturday, 8AM- 1:00PM twice a month
We are seeking a full-time Lab Tech for our pediatric office in Downtown Decatur at 125 Clairemont Ave, Decatur, GA 30030. Lab Tech’s play a vital role at CMG. Lab Tech’s are responsible for securing quality samples while properly processing, accurately labeling and accessioning specimens into the electronic medical record and/or laboratory interface system.
- Performs phlebotomy according to stated procedure.
- Properly identify patient in accordance with HIPAA.
- Label specimens immediately after drawing.
- Process specimens as soon as possible.
- Assists with restocking laboratory supplies.
- Input patient demographics and test result information into record systems.
- Answer telephone in section and respond accordingly.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Requirements
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certified.
- Ability to Multi-task efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Familiarity with computers and other office equipment.
- Basic typing and keyboard skills.
- Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
