Hours :
Monday- Friday, 8:00AM- 5:30PM with 1-hour lunch
Saturday, 8AM- 1:00PM twice a month
We are seeking a full-time Lab Tech for our pediatric office at 6918 McGinnis Ferry Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024. Lab Techs play a vital role at CMG. Lab Techs are responsible for securing quality samples while properly processing, accurately labeling, and accessioning specimens into the electronic medical record and/or laboratory interface system.
- Performs phlebotomy according to stated procedure.
- Properly identify patient in accordance with HIPAA.
- Label specimens immediately after drawing.
- Process specimens as soon as possible.
- Assists with restocking laboratory supplies.
- Input patient demographics and test result information into record systems.
- Answer telephone in section and respond accordingly.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Requirements
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy Certified
- Ability to Multi-task efficiently and effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Familiarity with computers and other office equipment
- Basic typing and keyboard skills
- Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation
