Education and Experience:
- Has minimum of 5-year experience as an Assistant Director or 3-years as a Director and a minimum of 5-years in a licensed childcare center.
- Working on meeting the State Requirements for a State license as a School Director, preferably with a non-renewable certificate, and is proficient in Texas State Minimum Standards.
- High focus and understanding of systems and processes.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the overall day-to-day operations of Children’s Lighthouse.
- Support policies, procedures, and systems to always ensure a safe and healthy environment in compliance with Children’s Lighthouse and State standards.
- Participates responsibly in marketing and special events including open house, school events, etc.
- Supports change required for continual compliance, improvement, and success of the school.
- Recruits, hires, orients, trains, supervises, observes, and evaluates staff along with the School Director.
- Manages, supports, and follows budget in compliance with Franchisee guidelines.
- Represents Children’s Lighthouse to public, community, parents, visitors, and staff with professionalism and integrity.
- Attends/participates in meetings and trainings as directed.
- Consistently follows through with all duties and responsibilities as assigned in a competent and timely manner.
- Day to day operations in compliance with the quality standards of Children's Lighthouse.
- Assumes major responsibility for staff schedule, labor budget, and staff file compliance.
- Wise productive use of time.
- Able to accept and handle change.
- Accepts instruction and direction in an appropriate manner.
- Able to work flexible hours between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm.
- Able to pass a State and Federal Background Check
- Has a valid driver's license, can operate a motorized vehicle, and has a clean driving record.

- Counseling and behavior management skills required.

- Ability to use technology as required and used by Children's Lighthouse CLFC.
- Participates in activities of professional and personal growth.
The Assistant Director reports to the School Director.
