What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Behavioral Health Worker - Therapeutic Nursery position at CHILDRENS CRISIS TREATMENT CENTER INC?
At Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC), our staff is dedicated to addressing the impact of childhood traumatic events and other challenges. Lead Behavioral health worker for the Therapeutic Nursery to implement, supervise and support growth of fellow Behavioral Health workers in following through with treatment team recommendations and meet the needs of the children preschool-aged and their families presenting with crisis and behavioral health issues in a trauma-informed manner.
Responsibilities include;
- Supervising, mentoring, and collaborating weekly with assigned Behavioral Health Workers in order to meet children and family goals
- Leading and facilitating daily and weekly BHW team meetings to review treatment for each child and family
- Immediate implementation of the children’s treatment plan in the structural milieu of the Therapeutic Nursery
- Meeting the overall therapeutic needs in order to facilitate effective therapy strategies
- Maintaining self and assigned team members’ timely and accurate electronic chart records and ensure the completion of necessary documentation and outcome measures
- Supporting and maintaining the classrooms and other play areas to provide and ordered, safe, clean and therapeutic environment at all times
- Participating in internal as well as external trainings ensuring completion of CCTC mandatory trainings
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education or related field.
Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years direct care experience with children and adolescents with behavioral health challenges.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants encouraged to apply.
