Outreach Coordinator Volunteer

CST members have access to a diverse experience that combines fun, skill-building, community, and personal development. Our programs grow and evolve based on the needs and interests of our local youth and provide a safe outlet for them to explore their talents. One of our main goals is to teach children that their struggles and obstacles don’t determine their lives; they can always overcome adversity with help and hard work. Our members leave CST with leadership and social skills, academic improvement, and a built-in community they can rely on. Our main focus is to offer our youth the life skills that will positively shape their futures. The future of CST is bright. Our initial goal was to impact the world starting with our community; we’re now well on our way. We hope to eventually have youth centers worldwide, offering greater academic support, activities, and events catered to their specific communities, and a chance to add value to the lives of youth everywhere.

Children Striving Together is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mentorship, resources, and positive outlets for youth in underserved communities. Our mission is to create safe spaces that foster growth, creativity, and support, enabling every child to thrive.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and community-minded Outreach Coordinator to help expand our reach and build meaningful partnerships. In this volunteer role, you will serve as a vital connector between Children Striving Together and the broader community. You'll identify and nurture new partnership opportunities, coordinate our presence at community events, and help mobilize our ambassadors to represent the organization across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Community Engagement Build relationships with local organizations, schools, businesses, and community groups to identify collaboration opportunities.
• Partnership Development Assist in creating, maintaining, and growing partnerships that align with our mission and support our youth programs.
• Event Coordination Organize CST's involvement in community events, resource fairs, and tabling opportunities by coordinating volunteers and ambassadors.
• Ambassador Deployment Work with CST’s Ambassador Program to identify volunteers to represent us at outreach events, ensuring they're equipped with materials and messaging.
• Outreach Strategy Help develop and implement outreach strategies that enhance CST’s visibility and impact in the community.
• Collaboration Work closely with internal teams to align outreach efforts with marketing, mentorship, and youth programming goals.
• Follow-Up & Reporting Maintain contact with partners, track outreach activities, and report on outcomes to measure growth and impact.
  
  

Qualifications

• People Skills Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build genuine relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Organized & Proactive Able to manage multiple outreach efforts, follow up consistently, and take initiative in community-building.
• Experience Background in community outreach, partnership development, or nonprofit engagement is a plus but not required.
• Communication Comfortable speaking publicly and representing CST in professional and community settings.
• Team-Oriented A collaborative mindset and willingness to support others in the organization’s mission.
