Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Evening Shift, 7 on/7 off - 12pm - 10pm.
Summary:
Under the direction of Pharmacy Leadership, the Pharmacist Shift provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care and operational support within pharmacy services at Children’s of Alabama. This position ensures the accuracy, safety, and timeliness of medication preparation and distribution while providing clinical expertise to support optimal therapeutic outcomes. The Pharmacist Shift evaluates and verifies medication orders, monitors patient responses, provides drug information to healthcare professionals, and participates in emergency response activities. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team.
Other Information:
Should have knowledge of the administrative direction of pharmacy services and be versed in current concepts and principles of institutional pharmacy service. Should demonstrate and practice leadership qualities
A Pharmacist Regularly Participates In:
One-on-one communications with physicians, medical residents, nursing staff, other pharmacists, patients/parents, and other Children's of Alabama employees.
Supervising pharmacy interns, pharmacy residents, technicians, and students.
A Pharmacist Occasionally Participates In:
