Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood development journey. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development based on early childhood education principles such as Montessori or other pedagogies
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
- Engage children in activities that support literacy education, math skills, physical education, and sensory play
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
- Conduct assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any special education or early intervention needs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to childcare regulations and child welfare standards
- Plan lessons that incorporate diverse learning styles and include activities for toddlers care as well as preschool-aged children
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities for inclusive education and working closely with specialists in early intervention
- Ensure compliance with all daycare licensing requirements and uphold high standards of childcare quality
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices
- Experience developing curriculum tailored to preschoolers’ needs across various domains including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists
- Proven classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment while maintaining discipline
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that promote emotional regulation and social cooperation
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and assessment tools for monitoring progress
- Experience working with children with diverse backgrounds or special educational needs in private school or daycare settings
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized pedagogies preferred
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on activities for toddlers care as well as preschoolers
- Strong organizational skills to manage lesson planning, documentation, and classroom routines efficiently
