Children’s Lighthouse is seeking a nurturing, creative, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preschool settings and a passion for fostering young children’s development through activity-based learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement engaging, age-appropriate, activity-based learning experiences that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child’s curiosity and love for learning.
- Maintain daily routines and structure while encouraging creativity and exploration.
- Observe and document children’s progress and communicate effectively with parents and school leadership.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing standards and school policies for safety and care.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a supportive team environment.
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications and adhere to all health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a licensed preschool or early childhood education program.
- Knowledge and application of activity-based and play-based learning methods.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (required or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills.
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
